When it comes to standard extensions, everyone has probably experienced some unpleasant surprises at some point. They rarely fit the rope alignment in the sail, most of them require high lowering forces, and most of the time the height adjustment mechanism is extremely complicated. Before designing the UNI.XT, we analyzed all these problems in detail and found viable solutions. The strong and super-solid UNI.XT extension may look similar to many other standard extensions at first glance, but it's packed with innovations that make it a far superior product. The latest version comes with a completely new trim ring, which offers a unique feature: based on the tried-and-tested SDM trim ring, the RDM version now for the first time ensures that the aluminum tube no longer comes into contact with the mast, thus preventing any contact corrosion. No other RDM extension can offer that! To ensure the same durability despite the reduced diameter, a double-wall construction of 7075 aluminum outer tube and ovalized T8 inner tube (patent pending) is used.
