Goya Airbolt Carbon 2022 Windsurf Board

Keith Teboul: “The Airbolt marks a new direction in wind foiling, bringing the feeling of riding rail-to-rail, heavy wind blast and jump to those ‘average’ days where conditions at your local venue are marginal. Using our crossover knowledge and feedback from KT Surf foiling, we’ve created a range of boards that introduces a new feel to foiling. With the rider’s rear foot positioned directly over the foil, and with the mast box positioned further back than other foil boards on the market, the Airbolt offers the industry’s most direct feel from sail to foil. The Airbolt brings it all together, from early, easy launch with maximum acceleration to carving, gliding, and rail-to-rail pumping, requiring minimal sail/wing or paddle pressure. We learned that foiling is extremely easy and more fun when the playing field is level.” We’re pleased to say that the new line comes with a full deck platform from the tail to around the front of the mast track, a handle, and extra wing inserts, making it which makes the new Airbolt Carbon a wonderful crossover board. When the first generation Airbolt came out, we were still trying to keep it as much of a “windsurfing board” as possible, which meant keeping the weight down in every place we could. That said, the practicality we realized is that the slight weight addition from using a larger pad and added handle is far less noticeable than the gains gained from ease of use. It can now also transition from being a SUP board to a wingboard more easily. The Deep Tuttle provides a way to transition to this board and hopefully takes the next steps to experimenting with a more updated foil and our track system to position everything EXACTLY for your ride. Casey Hauser: “The new Airbolts are size for size. The length and width of the boards are designed to combine the stability they need with a lively feel. Long enough so you can cruise and launch in light winds effortlessly, but short enough to reduce swing weight or inertia when flying. The larger sizes provide an even more stable platform for starting out and progressing, or for taking advantage of less powerful conditions. The smaller sizes will provide all the maneuverability and responsiveness that will wow more advanced riders. The new 90 has been designed with the advanced foiler in mind. With the least amount of volume, it still provides balanced flotation for flying in lighter winds. In the air, the pulled-in nose and tail increase maneuverability for effortless flips and rolls and easy control through jumps and turns. The new 135 and 150 feature a wider outline with the volume positioned further back for more stability, low-end power, and easier launches for beginners and lightwind foilers alike. The mid-sized 105 and 120 offer the ultimate combination of range and maneuverability. Alex Guyader (French Olympic Team): “The Airbolt is designed to make all styles of foiling easy and intuitive, from beginners to more experienced and professional riders. The larger sizes are ideal for first-time foilers, especially when riding with the inner footstrap setup, or you can also adjust for freerace/freeride foils with the outer inserts, allowing you to run larger sails thanks to their wider tail footstraps. The smaller sizes are more freeride/freefoil oriented, giving the board a livelier feel, with more reactivity underfoot, ideal for smaller sails/wings and the more advanced rider. You can start flying the Airbolt in as little as 8 knots, with the same upwind angle as if you were on a giant formula board, but faster, with much less effort and a much smaller sail. Going downwind, you can ride chop, feeling just like you would on a wave.” Outline: The board is long enough with enough area in the front of the mast track to make the board bounce and accelerate on touch down. The mistake I usually see people make in the beginning is oversizing their rig. The bigger your foil, the smaller sail you will need. For example, if you are using a 1400 front wing, you can easily fit a sail 2 square meters smaller than that of sailing with a fin. The Airbolt is compatible with all foils on the market thanks to its Foilbox-ready Double US and DTT box, but it is more comfortable with larger aspect wings, allowing you to take off with less speed compared to a high aspect foil. The Airbolt is your all-in-one foil board, which can be easily adapted to your daily mood. Whether you are into SUP, Wing, or Wind foiling, you will always have fun. Bottom Shape & Cutouts: From the nose to the midsection, the Airbolt is designed with deeper concaves and slanted bevels. rail for maximum rebound when landing inevitably occurs. The tail of the board incorporates a rocker line and planing surface similar to our race boards with cutouts from our KT pure foiling line to ensure early glide and contact-free flight. Volume Distribution: Volume flow is positioned towards the rear of the board to increase stability and early launch in the lightest breeze. Strap Inserts: The Airbolt offers a variety of footstrap insert options depending on the style of foiling you're doing, seamlessly transitioning between Freeride or Freerace, Wing, SUP, or even Surf foiling in a single session. Foil Box: The boards feature foil box attachment systems and longer rails. The track allows you to precisely balance your foil for perfect pressure, while the foil box accommodates all Tuttle options. Pad: Custom deck pad to suit all uses. Mini Handle: New comfortable yet reduced lower handle just in front of the foil. Leash Plug: Ideal for the Wing or Surf Foil. Compatibility: Designed around the MFC Helios foil range and tubeless freeride, freestyle, and wave sails. Considerable attention and many hours of testing were also devoted to different foils and multiple foil styles to ensure our mounting options and strap positions work across the widest variety of styles, sizes, and foils. The Airbolt range is the perfect way to increase your time on the water and unite all foiling sports into one.
