Description
The Sonar High Aspect Front Wing Series is designed for maximum speed and efficiency in a variety of disciplines, from kite foiling to prone foil surfing. With this type of wing, minimal pumping and power are required to generate glide. The short chord length defines the profile thickness, and a thin profile reduces drag. The wingspan provides stability and allows for slightly wider radius turns compared to a smaller aspect wing of the same size. The wingtips are refined to prevent venting upon contact, allowing for tighter radius turns at high speeds without losing speed. The HA1450 model is ideal for dock starts, pumping to connect multiple waves, coastal runs, or wake riding.
Downwind: Ocean waves move faster in open water, but are slower in shallow water or near the shore. The faster you move through the water, the more options you have to choose a more efficient line. The smaller the wing, the smaller the planing surface, which equals less lift and a higher stall speed. HA Series wings are designed for lighter or more experienced riders who want to foil in fast-moving ocean waves.
