The Carrera Carbon riding experience focuses on agility, torque, and supreme board construction. The new shapes are shorter with a wider tail, yet narrower than the Volar Carbon, giving the new Carrera Carbon a wonderful touch of newschool single-fin feel. The perfect board to slot between the One 3 Carbon and the Volar Carbon. Very fast to plan but easier to gybe. Our Freecarve boards are slightly narrower than our Freeride boards, designed for more advanced freeriders looking for a livelier board that's easier to trim in the tail, rail, and carve. There was a time when only Race boards like the Carrera Carbon were made. And there's no other Freecarve board built like it even today. We set out to create a Freecarve board with only the best compounds applied—racing compounds with a full carbon platform construction that brings the ultimate feeling of speed and lightness to a wider audience. A feeling that until now only racers could experience. You can also alter the character of these boards simply by adjusting the straps to the inside or outside. There's a single rear strap option and two options for double rear straps. The Carrera Carbon delivers high-end performance whenever and wherever you want it. Best paired with the Nexus Freeride, Mark, or Mark X sail, it covers all the bases, from choppy seas to lighter winds and calmer lake conditions where carving is as fun as going fast. These new shapes increase the overall wind range and responsiveness. Inspired by the success of the Proton Pro, we were able to achieve our goals by moving the volume flow rearward, reducing the overall length, keeping the rails more parallel further back, and, most importantly, modifying the rocker and flat spot to fine-tune initial entry and overall board control. The boards take off in light breezes and fly through calm moments. The entire underbody sits right on top of the water, and from the foot straps, you can maintain full control and a perfect fit. Entry and exit speeds have also improved significantly, making these boards a blast to ride or race with friends. Refinements to find the magic combination of these changes resulted in a line the entire team is excited about.
